For three years, Secondary School no. 10 Suceava coordinates and contributes to implementing the Erasmus+ project "STEAM by STEAM". It is a strategic partnership project, financed by the European Commission, with a total value of over 180,000 euros. This grant is distributed among the partner schools: Secondary School no. 10 Suceava, Agrupamento de Escolas Boa Água, from Sesimbra, Portugal, Gymnasio Iolkou from Volos, Greece, SU Konstantin Konstantinov from Sliven, Bulgaria, Juodsilio Silo gimnazija from Vilnius, Lithuania and Ostra Gymnasium, which is the second institution in Romania.
The aim of this project is to increase the learning motivation of students from the partner institutions, materialized in the improvement of their school results, using STEAM as a way of developing essential life skills. These include: pro-active attitude, problem-solving skills, creativity, multitasking, initiative, ability to anticipate, leadership, teamwork, empathy, by sharing experiences and best practices.
Transnational activities include learning mobilities for students, and the fourth one was hosted in Sliven, Bulgaria, between 25-30.04.2022. The project will end at the end of August this year, it being extended by 12 months due to the pandemic situation that affected the conduct of transnational activities.
Thus, the mobility in Sliven was attended by 8 students and two teachers, from Secondary School no. 10, together with 9 students and two teachers from the partner school in the town of Ostra, 6 pupils and 2 teachers from Lithuania, 10 pupils and 3 teachers from Greece, also 6 pupils and 3 teachers from Portugal. and the activities carried out contributed to the achievement of the project's objectives. Students took part in lessons taught by participating teachers from partner schools, in this way they got to know educational systems and diverse teaching approaches. In addition to this, they learned about the history, geography, traditions, culture, art of the partner country, Bulgaria, for the consolidation and development of the European dimension of education.
